Driade Venus bookcase

Driade Venus is a marble bookcase of extraordinary evocative power, designed by Fabio Novembre for Driade. Drawing inspiration from the wooden crates museums use to transport sculptures, Novembre transforms this humble element into a poetic design object: a five-shelf structure in natural sawn-effect oak, with solid oak shelf support elements, which envelops and camouflages a sculpture in white recomposed marble. The result is a piece that defies categorisation, suspended between artwork and functional furnishing.
