Domeniconi Ettore 2057 cucù clock

Domeniconi Ettore 2057, designed by Arianna Subri, is a wall cuckoo clock that offers a contemporary reinterpretation of the traditional cuckoo house. The design plays with two overlapping volumes: the lower structure supports the small upper house housing the cuckoo, in a clear nod to the architecture of Ettore Sottsass. An ironic and sculptural object, designed to combine function, colour and design in a minimalist composition.

The movement is quartz and the cuckoo mechanism is powered by two batteries (not included). The cuckoo call can be set to three levels — loud, soft or off — whilst the night sensor detects the absence of light and automatically deactivates the cuckoo at night. Compact yet highly distinctive, measuring 265 mm in height, 200 mm in width and 130 mm in depth, the Ettore 2057 is an ideal design accent for the living room or the kitchen, and suits equally well a hallway, a bookcase or any space where an original and recognisable design piece is welcome.
