Domeniconi Duomo 2011 cucù clock

Domeniconi Duomo 2011, designed by Luca Trazzi, is a wall-mounted cuckoo clock that pays homage to one of the most recognisable symbols of Italian architecture: Milan Cathedral. The profile of the case stylises the vertical rhythm of the cathedral's famous spires, transforming it into a contemporary domestic object. An original fusion of architecture, tradition and Italian design.

The case is made of lacquered wood and measures 25 cm wide, 31 cm high and 10 cm deep. The dial is deliberately minimalist, with no numerals, whilst the small cuckoo is positioned at the centre of the architectural composition. Duomo 2011 is available in White, Black and Red finishes. Sculptural and instantly recognisable, it makes a distinctive decorative statement in the living room, the kitchen, the hallway or a commercial space.

The clock uses a battery-powered quartz movement. The cuckoo call features three volume settings — high, low and off — whilst the night sensor prevents the sound from activating in the absence of light.
