DCW Mantis BS1 floor lamp

DCW Mantis BS1 is a floor lamp designed by Bernard Schottlander in 1951, manufactured by DCW and inspired by the sculptural dynamism of Alexander Calder's works. The structure, crafted in aluminium and steel with a matte black finish, features a curved and elongated diffuser evoking a praying mantis's head, a three-rod base and the designer's signature counterweight that achieves an elegant and precise balance. The slender frame rotates horizontally through 360° and adjusts vertically across 4 positions of 20°, making repositioning effortless. Light emission is direct, via an E14 LED source rated at up to 15W, with a cable-mounted switch included and an IP20 protection rating for indoor use. Maximum dimensions are 1700 x 740 mm, with a 2.1 m black cable. Bulb not included.
