Designed by Ron Gilad between 2006 and 2017, Drawing No. 12 is a wall clock presented as a framed drawing depicting the interior of a room. Within this tranquil architectural scene, the clock hands become part of the composition, subtly integrating the measurement of time into the illustrated space.
The work plays with the idea of perspective and perception: what appears to be a simple drawing turns out to be a constructed image in which elements of reality and representation coexist. The clock hands serve as a living component of the drawing, transforming the static image into a dynamic object that changes continuously with time.
Balancing conceptual design and visual simplicity, Drawing No. 12 reflects Ron Gilad's poetic approach to objects, where everyday functions are incorporated into minimalist and thoughtful compositions. The work belongs to the Danese Milano collection of design objects that blend art, design and narrative.
