The Cubo ashtray by Danese Milano, designed by Bruno Munari, bases its design strength on two simple elements: a cubic shell open on one side and a metal sheet inserted inside it with an acute angle cut. This configuration allows the ashes to slide inside, reducing the visibility of the contents and transforming the function into an aesthetic gesture. Made of non-flammable melamine for the outer structure and removable aluminum for the inner insert, Cubo reflects Munari's rational and poetic approach, becoming a functional and iconic furnishing accessory.
