Cooper 82425BG is a switching power supply unit manufactured by Cooper Eaton, designed to deliver an output voltage of 27.6 Vdc at 2.5A. Built in steel with a protection degree of IP42, it ensures durability and reliability in professional installation environments. Thanks to switching technology, the unit achieves high efficiency while minimizing heat dissipation, with built-in protection against overload, reverse polarity and short circuit.

The Cooper 82425BG is particularly suited to fire detection systems that require supplementary power for devices such as electromagnets, luminous panels and bells, whose average consumption typically exceeds the capacity of the control unit. Its use in large systems eliminates issues related to long power cable runs, considerably simplifying installation. The status of the power supply is monitored by 4 clearly visible external LEDs: two green LEDs indicate network presence and battery charger functionality respectively, while two red LEDs signal low battery and fault conditions. The enclosure features a mechanical lock for opening and closing the front door and is suitable for housing 2 batteries rated 12V up to 15Ah. The unit is also equipped with a general fault relay for reporting its status to central control units. Units in the 82000B series are CPD certified in accordance with the UNI EN54-4:1997 + A1:2002 + A2:2006 standard.
