Contardi Baggy suspension lamp 1800

Contardi Baggy suspension lamp 1800 is an eclectic and playful lighting design, created by Paola Navone Otto Studio in 2024 for Contardi. Inspired by the soft, relaxed silhouette of oversized trousers — from which the collection takes its name — Baggy is defined by its double-satin polycarbonate diffuser, shaped to evoke the irregular surface of a crumpled paper tube. This deliberately imperfect aesthetic becomes a distinctive design statement of striking personality. The ceiling rose is finished in matt white lacquer, while the iconic white/grey soft textile cable — a hallmark of the brand's archi-decorative style — completes the lamp's visual identity in the pendant version.

Spanning 1800 mm in length, this horizontal version is designed to bring generous illumination to large, open interiors: it is an ideal centrepiece for a living room, whether suspended above a dining table or anchoring a contemporary open-plan space. The custom-developed integrated LED delivers warm light at 3000 K with a colour rendering index of CRI 90, ensuring natural and enveloping light quality. The lamp draws 52 W at 220–240 V and comes complete with a built-in driver. Phase cut / Triac dimmability allows precise control over light intensity to suit any mood or occasion. The IP20 protection rating makes it suitable for indoor environments. Baggy is also available in vertical pendant, table and floor versions, as well as in 60 cm and 90 cm lengths, offering complete freedom of composition.
