Cappellini Jana vase

Jana is a vase by Cappellini, designed by Antonio Forteleoni. It presents clean, essential lines and a hand-thrown finish in black stoneware, and comes in two shapes and sizes: the reference version measures Ø 22.6 × H 34.7 cm.

The Jana vase draws on traditional Sardinian pottery, reworked in a contemporary key by Antonio Forteleoni for Cappellini. Each piece is hand-thrown in black stoneware, and its surface carries irregular traces typical of artisan craftsmanship: variations in colour or finish that stand as a mark of individual character rather than a flaw. Forteleoni trained at IED in Milan and at Central Saint Martins in London, bringing to ceramics a language that bridges tradition and contemporary research.
