Cappellini Bhuri Collection rug

The Bhuri Collection is a designer rug collection created for Cappellini by Satyendra Pakhalé. It presents the 300 × 200 cm format, born from the designer's original watercolors.

The name Bhuri, which means earth in Pali, reflects the collection's deep connection with the natural world: water, air and earth are the primordial elements behind every design. Pakhalé developed a distinctive painting method, working on handmade cotton paper with a single brush and a few essential tools, in a gesture that recalls the Asian tradition of Sumi-e painting. From this encounter between intention and chance come abstract images, later translated into the weave of the Bhuri rugs, available in the 300 × 200 cm format.
