Astep Model 566 Historical LED Table Lamp

Designed in 1956, the Model 566 embodies the reductive process of Gino Sarfatti, resulting in a balanced elementary form. The fixture is poised, characterized by an implicit forward movement that lightens the body tube that supports the characteristic Cornalux bulb. The base, originally in cast iron, is now made of aluminum, magnesium and copper alloy, which offers better corrosion resistance, produces no air pollution during production and is recyclable. An on/off push button switch is built into the base. The bulb has a semi-silvered glass, coupled to a bayonet fitting; Cornalux has been out of production for a few years, but Astep brings this classic back to life with modern, energy-efficient, long-lasting LED technology.
