Astep Model 238/1 wall lamp

Astep Model 238/1 is a wall lamp from the Le Sfere collection, originally designed by Italian design master Gino Sarfatti in 1959 and reissued by Astep in 2018 in updated versions. Slightly larger than Model 237/1, this blown opal glass wall light draws inspiration from the moon and celestial bodies — a constant theme in Sarfatti's creative vision. The lunar glass sphere is cradled by a graphic steel ring: the two elements interlock in an exceptionally elegant and distinctive aesthetic that embodies the genius and beauty of Italian design.

Thanks to its refined versatility, Model 238/1 enhances interior spaces of every style, from classic to contemporary. It is a particularly inspired choice for the living room or the bedroom, where its soft, moon-like glow creates intimate and sophisticated atmospheres. The sphere can be tilted downward or upward via a small cutout in the ring, enabling direct or indirect light emission depending on the desired effect. Compatible with all major international standards, the lamp operates at an input voltage of 100–240 V, while the IP20 rating confirms its suitability for indoor use.
