Astep Model 237/2 wall lamp

Astep Model 237/2 is a two-light wall lamp designed by Italian design master Gino Sarfatti, originally conceived in 1959 and reissued by Astep in 2018 in updated versions. Part of the Le Sfere collection, this wall light draws inspiration from the moon and celestial bodies, a recurring presence in Sarfatti's creative vision. The lunar-shaped diffusers in blown opal glass, with their softly translucent surface, are supported by a graphic steel ring: sphere and ring embrace one another in a highly distinctive and elegant aesthetic, a true expression of Italian design genius.

Model 237/2 suits a wide range of living environments, from classic to contemporary interiors. Thanks to its direct and indirect light emission, each sphere can be tilted downwards or upwards via a small cutout on the ring, offering great flexibility in light distribution. The colour temperature of 2700 K delivers a warm, enveloping glow, evocative of the moonlight that inspired Sarfatti. Equipped with 2 E14 LED light sources with a maximum total of 60 W and LED bulbs included, the lamp provides a luminous flux of 940 lm and operates at 220-240 V. With its IP20 protection rating, it is designed for indoor use: ideal as a wall light in the bedroom, in hallways, corridors, or in the living room. Not dimmable, with dimensions of 200×300×210 mm and Insulation Class I, Model 237/2 is available in Black and Champagne finishes. Model 238/2, featuring diffusers with a diameter of Ø 20 mm, is available in the product family.
