Artemide Tizio 35 Table Lamp Black

The Tizio version 35 is a table lamp with adjustable arms and head in painted aluminium, balanced by counterweights in black. A transformer housed in the base of the lamp steps the voltage down from 100-230V to 12V and powers the bulb through rods and connectors which, in addition to their structural function, act as current conductors without the need for electrical cables.

The lamp emits direct, fully adjustable light at two intensity levels. Tizio is the perfect reading light or desk lamp, as the direction of the beam can be precisely fine-tuned thanks to its sophisticated system of counterbalanced arms.

An Artemide design classic

Designed by Richard Sapper for Artemide in 1972, the Tizio lamp received the prestigious Compasso d'Oro award in 1979. A modern design classic that is part of the permanent collection of the MoMA in New York, a symbol of Italian design excellence recognised worldwide.

The lamp is identified by product code A005010 and is made of painted polycarbonate with no markings underneath in a black finish; it takes a LED or halogen 1x GY6.35 bulb up to 20W (bulb not included), powered at 12V through the transformer integrated in the base, which converts the 100-230V mains voltage.
