Artemide Tizio 35 Table Lamp Black

Artemide Tizio 35 is an iconic table lamp designed by Richard Sapper for Artemide in 1972, featuring fully adjustable arms and head in black painted aluminium, balanced by counterweights. A transformer integrated in the base steps the voltage down from 100–240V to 12V, powering the light source through conductive rods and connectors that simultaneously serve a structural and electrical function, eliminating the need for any visible cables.

Thanks to its sophisticated counterbalanced arm system and orientable head, the Tizio 35 delivers direct, precisely adjustable light at two intensity levels, making it ideal for reading, studying and precision tasks. It is the quintessential desk lamp, equally at home in an office or a bedroom, where its minimalist, iconic aesthetic enhances any residential or contract setting.

The lamp accepts a LED or halogen GY6.35 light source up to 20W (bulb not included), with a protection rating of IP20 and compatibility with input voltages between 100 and 240V, making it suitable for worldwide use. The switch is included and allows direct control of the two emission intensities.

Conceived in 1972, the Tizio was awarded the prestigious Compasso d'Oro in 1979 and is part of the permanent collection of the MoMA in New York. A modern Italian design classic, it remains a universally recognised symbol of design excellence and continues to feel remarkably contemporary.
