Artemide Spectral Light suspension lamp

Artemide Spectral Light is a suspension lamp designed by Philippe Rahm for Artemide, conceived to recreate the natural light of the sun by combining 12 precisely selected wavelengths. Its convex blown glass diffuser, paired with methacrylate, aluminium and steel, blends LED emissions — from blue to green through to deep red — into a harmonious spectrum that recalls the purity of sunlight. The light source consists of 1 LED at 36.36W and 4 RGB LEDs at 5W each, delivering a total luminous flux of 3899 lm and an efficacy of 107 lm/W, with a colour temperature of 3000 K and a colour rendering index of CRI 90.

Thanks to its direct and indirect light emission, Spectral Light distributes light both downward and upward, enveloping the room in a warm, embracing luminosity. At nightfall, a dedicated programme selects only the gentlest and most soothing wavelengths, creating an atmosphere of calm and well-being. Brightness is adjusted via a Push dimmer, with an input voltage of 220–240 V and insulation class I. The diffuser measures 550 mm in diameter and 375 mm in height, while the cable length is adjustable up to a maximum of 1370 mm. The average LED lifespan reaches 50,000 hours, with a MacAdam 2SDCM colour tolerance and a glow wire test at 650°. With an IP20 protection rating, it is designed exclusively for indoor use, making it an ideal centrepiece for the living room or any distinguished interior where design and light quality combine into a truly unique luminous experience.
