Artemide Sintesi table lamp, designed in 1975 by Ernesto Gismondi, is one of the most iconic examples of contemporary Italian design. Originally conceived as the core element of a modular lighting system, this adjustable aluminium table lamp perfectly embodies its designer's philosophy of achieving maximum functionality through an essential structure. Two C-shaped profiles of different lengths form the distinctive Y-shaped support, allowing height and angle to be adjusted with a simple movement. The adjustable frame integrates an E27 lamp holder, reflector and protective grille, ensuring full compatibility with modern LED retrofit bulbs while preserving the original concept for years to come.

Thanks to its clean aesthetic and exceptional versatility, Sintesi fits naturally into an office, a home workspace or a professional studio, and equally as a reading lamp in a bedroom. The structure can be completely folded to minimise its footprint during transport or storage, an innovative solution that highlights Gismondi's pragmatic approach. The replaceable E27 light source allows the lamp to evolve with modern lighting technologies while maintaining the integrity of its original design. An original Artemide wall bracket is also available, allowing the table version to be converted into a wall-mounted lamp while preserving the same adjustment system. Sintesi is compatible with voltages of 110–240 V for international use, carries an IP20 protection rating, and reaches a total height of 450 mm. Available in Blue, White, Green and Red finishes, it remains one of the most representative designs in the Artemide collection, demonstrating how simplicity, engineering and quality can coexist in a single lamp fifty years after its original introduction.
