Artemide Mendori table lamp

The famous stylist Issey Miyake, signs for Artemide a collection of lamps made of PET (fiber recycled from bottles, reminiscent of paper), which can be both opened and folded in a three-dimensional version. This eco-sustainable material features at the same time the lightness of paper and great resistance. Issey Miyake and his design studio Studio Lab initially used this method in the fashion universe before applying this process to lighting. Thanks to a unique treatment, the lampshade perfectly retains its shape when folded or unfolded, being in the absence of any internal structure. "IN-EI" means shadow, nuance in Japanese; Mendori offers a splendid play of light and shadow thanks to the different thicknesses of the material. The LED source has a power of 8 Watts, with a light temperature of 3000 Kelvin (warm light) and a luminous flux of 425 Lumen. The light effect is soft, warm and alive, and it almost seems to come alive with movement.
