Artemide Melampo Tilting Floor Lamp

Artemide Melampo Tilting Floor Lamp is a designer floor lamp created by Adrien Gardère in 2000 for Artemide, one of the most iconic names in Italian lighting design. The project is defined by a timeless, pared-down formal language: a round base in varnished zamak, a slender aluminum stem, and a silk satin shade that together form a harmonious and quietly sophisticated whole. Standing 1375 mm tall, Melampo is designed exclusively for indoor use, with insulation class II and a protection rating of IP20.

The defining feature of Melampo Floor is its adjustable diffuser, which features a slot allowing the shade to be set in three different angular positions — 0°, 34°, and 180° — shifting between a downward diffused and direct light, an angled oriented light, and a fully indirect upward emission. This flexibility in direct/indirect light output makes it an ideal choice for crafting tailored atmospheres in the living room or the bedroom. The lamp uses an LED light source with E26/E27 socket, with a maximum power of 17 W and universal compatibility thanks to an input voltage of 100-240 V; an integrated switch is included, while the bulb is not supplied. The shade measures Ø210 mm at the top and Ø350 mm at the bottom, with a base diameter of Ø240 mm. Melampo is available in two finishes: gray structure with gray diffuser and bronze structure with ecru shade, both suited to blend seamlessly into contemporary and classic residential interiors.
