Artemide Cosmic Angel Suspension Lamp

Artemide Cosmic Angel Suspension is a striking suspension lamp designed by Ross Lovegrove for Artemide. Crafted from ABS and aluminum, its sculptural silhouette is inspired by the movement of air flowing over a thin sheet — an aesthetic that makes the fixture appear almost weightless, as if defying gravity on a cushion of air. The chrome finish lends a refined, contemporary elegance that integrates seamlessly into high-end interior environments.

With its generous proportions — 1770 mm wide and 810 mm deep — and its indirect light emission, the Cosmic Angel Suspension is designed to bathe large rooms in a soft, enveloping, glare-free glow. Light is directed upward and reflected off the upper methacrylate diffuser, producing subtle interplays of shadow and brightness that highlight the fixture's sculptural volumes and create an atmosphere of exceptional quality. It is an ideal centrepiece for the living room, serving simultaneously as a statement design object and a primary light source. The lamp accommodates two R7S lampholders, compatible with both dimmable LED sources of 11 W and 400 W halogen lamps, neither of which are included. The dimmable function allows the light intensity to be adjusted to suit any mood or occasion. With a protection rating of IP20 for indoor use, a universal input voltage of 100–240 V, and insulation class I, the lamp meets the highest technical standards. The ceiling height is adjustable from a minimum of 900 mm to a maximum of 2100 mm, offering complete flexibility during installation.
