Description

Callimaco is a floor lamp whose name derives from an ancient Greek philologist, famous for the fact that in his poems he always sought a careful elaboration of the form. For this characteristic, Sottsass decided to name his lamp in this way. It was designed in 1982 and is a long-standing classic, also exhibited at the Museum of Modern Art in New York and the Israel Museum in Jerusalem.

Callimaco LED is a contemporary version with particularly warm white light emission, and is a fantastic option for those looking for elegant lighting and a strong design statement. The lamp has a conical base in gray lacquered steel and a conical diffuser in red lacquered steel. The aluminum connecting stem is lacquered in yellow and features a convenient chrome handle. Callimaco emits indirect light upwards and is equipped with a switch-dimmer on the stem.
