Artemide Athena Integralis Sanitizing led Dimmable Floor Lamp

Artemide Athena Integralis is a dimmable LED floor lamp with a sanitizing system, designed by Naoto Fukasawa in 2015 for Artemide. Its contemporary design features two thin, parallel cylindrical discs supported by a tubular stem: the upper disc houses the 44 W LED light source, while the lower one serves as a stable base. The structure is crafted in aluminum and steel, with harmonious, pure lines that echo the traditional Japanese aesthetic of essential simplicity. Its compact footprint and lightweight form make it easy to reposition, adapting seamlessly to a wide range of settings.

With its diffused light emission and a color temperature of 5000 K combined with a CRI 90 color rendering index, Athena Integralis delivers natural, precise and comfortable illumination. The touch dimmer allows effortless adjustment of light intensity to suit different moods and needs. Its neutral and versatile architectural profile integrates beautifully into both residential and professional environments, such as the living room, the bedroom or the office. The lamp includes a switch, an integrated driver and operates at 220–240 V, with an IP20 rating and insulation class II. The LED source is included and fully integrated into the structure, with overall dimensions of 320 mm in diameter and 1831 mm in height. Available in white and black finishes.

The Integralis variant represents a significant innovation in the field of functional lighting: the system integrates the visible and invisible spectral range into an innovative formula capable of regenerating the environmental quality of a space, acting against pathogenic microorganisms during normal everyday illumination. Selected frequencies of visible light inhibit the development and growth of bacteria, fungi and molds, while UV components deactivate pathogenic microorganisms, including viruses. The combination of different technologies and the precise calibration of emission spectra enhance the overall effectiveness of the sanitizing action. The system is managed via the Artemide App, which allows users to activate different real-time sanitizing modes or recall preset scenarios, ensuring maximum flexibility in use.
