Alessi Vimini basket

Vimini by Alessi is a perforated tableware centerpiece that reimagines the aesthetic of traditional woven wicker baskets in stainless steel. Created through laser perforation of the metal sheet and subsequent mechanical shaping processes, the piece showcases Alessi's craftsmanship in steel working.

The refined design of the basket emerges from the collaboration of Michel Boucquillon and Donia Maaoui, who have elegantly evoked the forms of ancient crafted objects through a contemporary language. Stainless steel 18/10 forms the base version of the product, while colored finishes created with white and black epoxy resin are also available, enriching compositional possibilities. The available sizes, 21 and 25 centimetres, allow the centerpiece to adapt to different table configurations, while maintaining the distinctive visual transparency created by the pattern of perforations.
