Alessi Tsumiki battery table lamp

Alessi Tsumiki is a battery-powered table lamp designed by Studio Medum, founded by Shintaro Monden, and produced by Alessi. Inspired by the Japanese puzzle game tsumiki — in which three-dimensional shapes are built from simple wooden pieces — the lamp translates this principle into a modular, composable object crafted from metal and thermoplastic resin. Its three distinct elements — lampshade, stem and base — connect via magnets, offering endless configuration possibilities and turning every assembly into a creative gesture.

Portable and rechargeable via USB-C cable, Tsumiki delivers up to 10 hours of battery life, allowing it to be placed freely without the constraint of a power cord. The integrated 3.5 W LED source produces direct light at a colour temperature of 2700 K — warm and enveloping — adjustable through a capacitive touch dimmer that lets you tailor the light intensity to the desired mood. Measuring 337 mm in height, 164 mm in width and 110 mm in depth, with an IP20 protection rating, it is designed for indoor use. Its aesthetic and functional versatility makes it an ideal companion for the living room or the bedroom, where it can accompany evening reading or create an intimate atmosphere without occupying a fixed power outlet.
