Alessi Farfalla nutcracker

Farfalla is the nutcracker by Alessi, a table accessory that embodies the pursuit of design essentiality. Alessi presents this unpublished project by Enzo Mari, conceived in the late 1990s and now produced in polished stainless steel 18/10.

Every detail of Farfalla reflects that meticulous elimination of the superfluous which has always characterized Mari's design research: few strokes, essential, that capture the intimate nature of the object and the gesture accompanying it. The sinuous and lightweight form fits perfectly in the hand, while the polished finish of stainless steel imparts solidity and refinement.
