Alessi Clivo salad set

Clivo by Alessi are salad servers crafted in 18/10 stainless steel. The design emerges from research into traditional utensils, reimagined through a process of gradual material reduction to achieve the final form.

The project draws inspiration from research into traditional Japanese bamboo utensils, reinterpreted in metal through a contemporary approach. Every detail was developed through hand-sculpted prototypes, following meticulous exploration of the particulars that define the collection. The proportions and geometry of the servers reflect the gesture of carving, where material is progressively removed to reveal the form. This controlled subtraction process gives the utensils a functional elegance, suited to completing the table service with stylistic coherence.
