Incandescent bulbs
Incandescent Bulbs: the Range at Diffusione Luce
Diffusione Luce has in stock incandescent bulbs for residential use and special applications. The European EcoDesign directive has progressively limited the production of these traditional sources, but some types remain available for specific uses.
Types still available
Among the types still produced and marketed you will find oven bulbs (heat-resistant up to 300°C), refrigerator bulbs, sewing machine bulbs, special bulbs for industrial machinery, and for applications where LED replacement is not possible for technical reasons (need for heat dissipation, phase-cut dimmer regulation, safety applications).
Technical features
Incandescent bulbs offer CRI 100 (perfect color rendering), instant switching on, full dimmability without flicker, wide availability of sockets and powers. The main disadvantage remains the high energy consumption: only 5% of the energy consumed is converted into light, while the remaining 95% becomes heat.
When to choose them
For applications in ovens, refrigerators, special machinery, restoration of vintage lamps where LED retrofit is not possible or recommended, incandescent bulbs remain the most reliable choice. If a product shows zero availability, it can still be ordered on request: average delivery times are shown in the product page.
