Made from soft polyurethane foam through an innovative mould-free manufacturing process, Shadow naturally adapts to the body, making every seating experience entirely unique and unrepeatable.

With Shadow, Gaetano Pesce challenged the conventional concept of upholstered seating: polyurethane foam is injected directly into the covering and expands freely, generating folds, volumes and surfaces that can never be replicated. Each piece is then hand-finished by skilled Meritalia artisans during the curing phase, ensuring exceptional build quality and absolute uniqueness. Every Shadow is therefore a one-of-a-kind piece, born from the meeting of industrial technology and artisanal craftsmanship. The name refers to the imprint — the shadow — left by the body on the seat, making the interaction between person and object an integral part of the design itself.
