Born in Montargis in 1959, Christophe Pillet lives and works in Paris. He graduated from the Ecole Nationale Supérieure d'Art de Nice in 1985 and completed his studies at the Domus Academy in Milan. Back in Paris he worked for some years with Philippe Starck and then started his own studio. Elected "Créateur de l'année" in 1994, he has received numerous international awards, including the Red Dot Design Award, the Wallpaper Design Award and the Prix d'Excellence. The clarity of expression and the search for simplicity are the key principles of Pillet's work. His perfect mastery of design and his innate sense of elegance have allowed him to establish himself among the most famous French designers in the world, thanks to a plurality of projects ranging from product design, to hotels and boutiques and which bear his indelible imprint. He has worked for well-known brands in the fashion and design sector and his projects are characterized by a recognizable style, an unsuccessful combination of functionality and sensuality.
