Read more ...Candela is a super innovative table lamp, produced by Astep and conceived by the designer Francisco Gomez Paz. It is a 21st century lamp, the result of technology, design evolution and respect for the environment. Candela, as its name implies, is inspired by fire to feed the LED source and self-produce energy. Astep has created an energy harvesting system that generates electricity thanks to the heat of the flame due to the thermoelectric Seebeck effect. The fuel used is 100% renewable and clean, derived from plants, i.e. bioethanol: through this element Candela is able to produce electricity and recharge devices via the USB type A input located at the base. The lamp is easily lit with a lighter or match and guarantees a duration of 5 hours with a full 260 ml tank. Whenever there is a flame Candela's internal battery will charge so that even when it is turned off, it will still be able to function and recharge mobile phones or tablets. The flame is smokeless, perfect for both indoor environments and some outdoor places such as balconies, terraces, gardens, in private homes or in other types of context. Its light is warm and welcoming. Candela has the mix of elements that underline aesthetics and technology, both innovative, in lighting design.
